“Most of my songs are about limitation and boundaries, and also produced from a place of lack of outer resources. I don’t come from money, nor do I have any social status to speak of. In fact, I belong to some of the most uprooted peoples in the world.
I inhabit a woman’s body in what is often presented as a Man’s world. But no matter how incredibly painful and infuriating some of these experiences may be – LIMITATIONS ALSO SHOW US THAT WHICH IS BEYOND ANY LIMITATION. Obstacles force us to look for creative solutions and to improvise.
One could say that “Make Me Human” is a result of limitation and the ever-unfolding realization of That, which never is limited. Being cut off from outer resources, I had to rely on my inner resources.”
